Although most of my books have been published under my full name of
Hazel Mary Martell, most people
just call me Hazel and I hope you’ll do the same if ever you
meet me or get in touch for any reason.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been involved in reading,
writing and telling stories, the first of which was published in 1971
when I was working as a librarian. In the late 1970s I had three historical
romances published, then moved on to an unexpected new career, writing
information books for children. These were mostly on history and archaeology
and have been sold all around the world. From 1992 to 2002 I was also
editor for the Northern Mine Research Society publications. This taught
me a lot about book-design, type-setting and publishing – all
of which was a great help when I decided to set up Thorn Tree Publishing
in the autumn of 2006.
Please read on to find out more about me and my published books –
and visit www.thorntreepublishing.co.uk
to read excerpts from The Dreamchasers and two more Yorkshire Romances
that I am currently working on. |
